Work with Anna

Therapy is no longer that picture in your head of a happy calm couch with a candle. It can be. But my services offer an opportunity for you and your family to make changes, set goals, and stick to a routine involving positive language, understanding, and education to set you up for a life full of love, and positivity with diabetes.

I want to help you all achieve familial success with T1D. It is TOTALLY possible. Explore my coaching packages to find what works for you.

Diabetes is a complex chronic illness to manage through school, sports & busy days. Individualized support in navigating T1D challenges unlocks the tools to succeed.

Group Programs

Groups are a powerful and dynamic tool, bringing together individuals, making you feel like you’re not the only one.

Community Partnerships

For clinics, camps, organizations, or schools, developing a T1D live or virtual event, I love creating the perfect message to share with our community.

Individual Sessions

Long acting insulin used to be the only way…..then pumps came along as an option to provide “background or basal insulin dosing.” Small incremental steps to success. This package offers exactly that.

The Basal Package

  • With multiple sessions this package is ideal (and most popular) for those looking to build a foundation, set some goals, form some better habits in their home around diabetes behaviors, or search for ways to better process their emotions around diabetes. It is not a quick fix, and requires long lasting work to expect long lasting results.

Some reasons families reached out to book the basal package include:

    • I realize this diagnosis has hit me harder than I thought. We’re 8 months in and I’m in need of some help more now- processing my own emotions and fears.

    • Our communication as a family is really taking a toll. I’m hoping for some tools and an opportunity to get my family back on track so I don’t nag and jeopardize our relationship moving forward.

    • I’m a young adult and starting to think about family planning-mentally I’m a mess. How can I shift my mindset about processing diabetes and all its components coupled with a new life?

  • This 90 day approach will establish trust, assess strengths, and help you to create an individualized plan focused on your vision of success. After our time together you will feel empowered to shift your mindset to diabetes and the most time sensitive challenges for you.

    Package Includes:

    • 4 virtual 60-minute sessions with Anna. (within 90 days)

    • Unlimited email communication between sessions (response within 72 hours)

    • Worksheets and customized activities for your family.

    • Resource referrals and community connections.

    • Follow-up notes and action steps are emailed within 24 hours of each session.

    $525 for 4 sessions

  • Transitioning to college, especially with diabetes in tow, is tough on the entire family. You've just dropped "your baby" away at school, and now they want nothing to do with diabetes. Or maybe it’s the opposite-they call too much, and seem to need a new sensor once a week.

College with diabetes is totally doable with the right tools; and connecting with someone who's been there done that, even just to listen or learn some tricks of the trade on how to tackle the dining hall, how to share your diabetes with new classmates and roommates, is incredibly validating.

This package is perfect for those who:

    • Are diagnosed either during college or right before and still trying to figure it all out. From the overwhelm of adjusting to college plus the mental roller coaster of diabetes.

    • Need a check-in point in between appointments. Someone to offer some diabetes management suggestions, review snip-its of data, and diabetes behavioral tips and tricks to ensure diabetes won't dictate how you live your years at school.

Get the individualized support you and your student need throughout the semester.

    Just $485 for four sessions/semester.

This one-off 60 min session is designed for those who need some extra support on one topic or area either in between appointments with their diabetes care team, or just need some extra validation.

The Bolus Session

  • Paranoid about college? Just diagnosed and have no clue where to start?

Some other sample scenarios of people who have utilized this session include:

    • Help! We were diagnosed just about a month ago and are struggling with after school sports and blood sugars. Can you help us come up with a plan around navigating food/bolus and when?

    • Hello-my daughter is traveling abroad for 2 weeks and we need some guidance on how to approach communication and settings with her both beforehand and while she is there.

  • Maybe you need help with forming a communication agreement with your teen or want to take a deeper dive into some unanswered questions from your provider’s office around DKA, alcohol, or sleepovers. This one-time session is geared towards a specific topic you’re stuck on today to help with the immediate needs of tomorrow.

    Session Includes:

    • A single 60-minute virtual session with Anna

    • Notes and action steps are emailed within 24 hours of your session.

    • Follow-up email one week post session.

I found the Coping for Caregivers sessions to be very helpful.

School is a huge part of our lives, and involves so much training and then trust. How can I let her go? Will the nurse be able to watch his numbers? What if she doesn’t speak up? I get it.

30 for 30 School Mini Sessions!

  • This 30 min session will give you a chance to focus solely on any school challenges and/or 504 plan help. I can’t write the entire plan for you, but I’ll deliver you some suggestions and validations to help guide the right approach for you and your family’s needs.

PRO tip: No 2 504s are exactly the same!

Why should I book this short session?

    • I’m overwhelmed and don’t even know where to start with the 504 plan process?

    • I’m in need of a “check in” on my current plan as we transition to a new school and make revisions.

    • What should I even put in this 504 plan and do I even need one? How do I word it?

    • School isn’t following our 504 plan.

  • Session Includes:

    • Insight into the school system’s process and paperwork when your child has diabetes.

    • Actionable suggestions and validations you can use in creating your 504 plan

    • Follow-up notes and action steps are emailed within 24 hours of each session.
